For two years, Philippe Jarrigeon explored the Forest of Fontainebleau, drawing inspiration from its vast and mysterious landscapes to imagine a world where reality, fiction and imagination converge. At once cinematic, absurd and strange, the series brings together landscapes, animals, unexpected encounters and figures from the French art scene, including Nina Childress, Théo Mercier, Vimala Pons, Laura Vazquez and Rebeka Warrior.
More than just an exploration of the forest, Rocher Fatal[/i] celebrates its stories, its mysteries and its fragile beauty, whilst offering an offbeat perspective on the ways in which we inhabit, engage with and sometimes mistreat these precious spaces.
